Mrs. Sarh Catherine Fike passed away at her home 6:25 Friday evening January 8, 1937 following an illness of long duration and advanced age. She had been in failing health the last two years, the last two weeks she was bed ridden.
The deceased was 71 years 6 months and 14 days. She was born in Winslow Township June 23, 1865.
She spent her entire life in this section living 22 years in Soldeir and the rest in this section. She was a kind, loving mother and friend.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters, Nettie Allen, Sadie Slawson, Harry H. Fike, Clair, Lester J. Fike.
The body was prepared for burial by L.H. Reed Funeral Home and later removed to the home until time of services Tuesday at 2 o'clock.
Rev. Joseph V. Morres of DeLong Springs, Fla. officiated. Interment was in Sykesville Cemetery.
Pall Bearers were Thomas Clark, Blair Weber, John Anderson, Tom Sandy, W.G. Miller and Edward Troutman.
