Husband of Alline (Foster) Edwards; son of George W. and Sarah Jane (Thomas) Edwards.

"He was involved in the fight at Thomas Schoolhouse in 1910 with Wesley and Sidna Edwards which led to the Carroll County Courthouse Tragedy in 1912.

He was a deputy sheriff and attended the trial of Floyd Allen in March 1912 and was appointed temporary sheriff after the death of Lewis Webb.

Years later, he was elected county sheriff for several terms."
