Gary Kenneth Amick, 67, of Oldtown, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008.

Born July 13, 1941 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Belmont and Dorothy (Robertson) Amick. He was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Amick.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mollie Elaine Amick; also a nephew, Wayne Leon Amick.

Mr. Amick served in the United States Army from November 1963 to November 1965. He was a retired supervisor from the Kelly Springfield Tire and Rubber Company. He was an avid deer and turkey hunter, whose all-time total turkey gobbler kills would set a record. To the Maryland DNR they will never know how many.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, (www.scarpellifh.com) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Lay Pastor Barney Piper officiating.

Interment will be at Sulphur Springs Cemetery, Kifer.

Pallbearers will be James Crabtree Jr., Barney Piper, Jim Piper, Barry Smith, Beau Smith and Cody Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lee Amick, Charles Athey, Gary Athey, Richard Athey, Jake Crabtree and Barry Smith Jr.
