Emigrated Aug 6 1887 from Sweden without his family. He sent for his family in 1891, they lived in Ishpeming, Michigan, where he was a miner. Later he and his family moved again, this time to Kingsburg. Elias, a fruit farmer, made contributions to farming by helping to develop the agricultural resources in the area. Two children who emigrated to America, died in Ishpeming, Henri and Hellen.
