A1C David Lloyd Bowman, Vietnam Veteran and native of Anoka, Minnesota.

Airman First Class David Lloyd Jr Bowman was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Air Force, A1C Bowman served our country until February 6th, 1968 in Phong Dinh, South Vietnam. He was 21 years old and was not married. It was reported that David died in the line of duty. His body was recovered. David was born on February 6th, 1947 in Anoka, Minnesota. A1C Bowman is on panel 37E, line 051 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for 2 years.

Honoring your memory: Dave, I will, never forget, the many good, times, that we had. Rest in peace, my friend. Jerry Smith.

Old friend: Dave and I were close friends in school. He went to war and I stayed home and got married. How unfair to be killed on your 21st birthday. Bye Dave. I think of you often. Michael Anderson.

I was eight years old when my bother died. I remember it clearly. He visited me again 21 years later, at which time I knew that he had passed over to the other side. He is my guardian angel and I miss him dearly. Dawn Thomas.

A1C David Lloyd Bowman Jr served as an Airman First Class with the 632nd Combat Support Group, 7th Air Force, United States Air Force, Vietnam.

He was awarded The National Defense Service Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Vietnam Campaign Medal and The Vietnamese Gallantry Cross Unit Citation.
