Evelyn was born, in the Town of Portland, the daughter of Herman and Maria (Hahn) Riege. She married Wilbert Baumann on April 27, 1941, at. St. John's Lutheran Church in Waterloo. She was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Waterloo.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, 3 sons, a daughter, 11 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three stepgreat-grandchildren, brothers, and sisters.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Norman, Harold and Junior Riege; sisters, Gladys Raether, Grace Keller and Myrtle Knuppel; and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Baumann.
Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waterloo with the Rev. Thomas Wilsmann officiating.
