Funeral services for Mrs. Bonnie Anglin Reynolds, age 98, of Talladega, AL will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at 11:00 AM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Doug Hemphill and Rev. Mike Irons officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at Stroud. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM on Thursday, February 19. Mrs. Reynolds passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015, at her residence.
Survivors include two nieces, Rietta Broom of Talladega and Eleanor Talley of Lanett; three nephews, John Shivers of Cumming, GA, Ronney Sewell of Eufaula, AL, and Douglas McLeod of Columbus, GA; great-nieces, Valerie Burrage of Talladega, Jacqueline Gaines of Talladega, Elizabeth Cervone of Newnan, GA, Amy Hurlbut of Alexandria, AL, and Bethany Robertson of Oxford, AL; and great-nephews, Ronney Sewell, Jr., of Leeds and Benjamin Sewell of Eufaula, AL.
Pallbearers will be Leroy Talley, Deno Cervone, Eric Burrage, Shaw Gaines, John Shivers, and Ronney Sewell.
A long-time resident of Mobile, Alabama, Mrs. Reynolds was born in Chambers County on November 12, 1916, the daughter of Sidney W. and Willie Kate Piper Anglin. She was a member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and retired from Thomas-King Roebuck Real Estate as an accountant.
Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Freeman Burdett and Henry F. Reynolds; four sisters, Lucille Sewell, Lola Shivers, Julia McLeod, and Nannie Kate Anglin; one brother, John E. Anglin; and great-niece, Kathryn Morris.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mount Pisgah Cemetery Trust Fund c/o Don Clark, 5005 County Road 62, LaFayette, AL 36862, or Trinity United Methodist, P.O. Box 578, Talladega, AL 35161.
