Hazel Grace Mickelson, 92, died Sunday, March 16, 2003, at New Horizons Care Center in Lovell.

Hazel was born March 29, 1910, to Raymond and Emma Wood Canaday in Dawes County, Neb., near Chadron. She was third of seven children.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Eddie; one brother, one sister and one granddaughter.
She is survived by one brother, Edwin Canaday of Redwood Falls, Minn.; three sisters, Violet Pierson of Elsmore, Kansas; Florence Rutherford of Page, Neb., Lila Masden of Grand Island, Neb.; three children, Bud (Annie) Mickelson of Lovell, Jeannine Bell of Hanna, and Kendall (Cheri) Mickelson of Lovell; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lovell. Burial followed in the Lovell Cemetery.
