Clifton Dexter Hampton of West Liberty, Kentucky, husband of Barbara Meeks Hampton, departed this life on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the age of 62 years, 6 months and 25 days. He was a son of the late James Orville and Ida May Neice Hampton born in Morgan County, Kentucky on July 20, 1952.
Clifton is survived by his wife, Barbara Meeks Hampton of West Liberty, Kentucky; one son, Larry Dexter Hampton (Jenny) of Grassy Creek, Kentucky; two daughters, Rebecca Ann Marcum of Mize, Kentucky and Rachel Kennedy (Keith) of Jolo, West Virginia; two brothers, Emanuel Hampton (Eve) of Hazel Green, Kentucky; Wayne Hampton (Arpie) of Ezel, Kentucky; one sister, Freda Taulbee of Hazel Green, Kentucky and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Wayne Hampton; his parents, James Orville and Ida May Neice Hampton; and one brother, Larry Hampton.
He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
He service visitation or service will be held per the request of the family.
Clifton will be buried at the Ezel Cemetery at Ezel, Kentucky in Morgan County.
