Obituary for Clyde S. Baxter (Lincoln paper or the Chickasha Express, not sure which paper)

Funeral service for Clyde Sabinus Baxter, 90 formerly of 816 Iowa, will be at 2 pm Monday in the First Chirstian Church with Rev. Richard Guenter, pastor officiating. Mr Baxter was born Dec 22 1886 in Marion, Ind. He died Wednesday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lincoln, Neb. Mr Baxter was visiting relatives in Nebraska. A retired postman, Mr. Baxter resided in Chickasha since 1901, coming here from Marion, Ind. He was member of the First Christian Church and a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He was a member of the first graduating class of Chickasha High School in 1907. He taught school from 1907 to 1915 in the Union Center School, north of Pioneer. Mr. Baxter worked three years for the Rock Island Railroad before serving as a rural mail carrier in the Minco area. He began his job as postman in the Chickasha area in 1918, retired in 1957 after serving 39 years. He Married Myrtle Rader on Nov 30 1911 near Union Center School. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle of the home, seven daughters Mrs. Mindell (Wanda) Wood of Chickasha, Mrs. Nataleah Jantz of Carlisle, IA, Mrs Verner (Clara) Bolling of Homestead, Fla, Mrs. Roxy (Annabel) McFarland of Noble, Mrs. Leon (Irene) Bond of Louisville, Neb. Mrs Leroy (Mary Ellen) Lynch of Eau Gallie, Fla, and Mrs Murl (Martha Jo) Bryen of Deer Park, TX. Three sons Clyde Baxter Jr. of Moore, David Baxter and Buster Baxter of Murray, NE. Two sisters Mrs. Willie (Mary) Lecklider and Miss Ruth Baxter, both of Pendleton, OR. 30 Grandchildren, and 32 Great Grandchildren. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under direction of Brown Funeral Home.
