Irvin Eugene Hillman, 61, died Thursday, July 2, 1981 in the North Big Horn Hospital of cancer. He was born October 19, 1919 in Ogallah, Kansas, the son of Louis and Melinda Hillman. He married Lavera Cooper June 12, 1942 in Conway, South Carolina. They had made their home in Lovell for the past 34 years where Mr. Hillman owned and operated a sporting goods store for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force having served from 1941 to 1945. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and belonged to the Lovell Rod and Gun Club, the National Rifle Association, and the California Paraplegic Veteran's Association.

He is survived by his wife, Lavera of Lovell; two sons, Larry and Mark both of Lovell; two daughters, Janice of Lovell and Susan of Laramie, Wyoming; three brothers, Oscar of Powell, Wyoming, Howard of Calona, Illinois, and Darrell of Weatherford, Texas; three sisters, Laura Dixon of Fort Collins, Colorado, Lois McCoy of Hill City, Kansas, and Arlene Grecian of Wakeeney, Kansas; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 6, 1981 in St. John's Lutheran Church at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Eldon Bahn officiating. Burial will be in the Lovell Cemetery with military honors.
