Isaac was born in Newtown, old Middlesex Co., NJ (now Robbinsville, Mercer Co.), the son of William Hughes. He chose David Cubberly as his guardian in Aug. 1814. He received 58 acres from the division of his father's land in Nottingham Twp., old Burlington Co., NJ (now Hamilton Twp., Mercer Co.) in Feb. 1815. He was living/farming in Hamilton Twp., 1860.
