Age 42 years. The remains of the Brooke-Beall Family were removed from their old homestead at Brooke Park on Conduit Road to Rockville Cemetery on November 9, 1928. Per Sons of the American Revolution records he was the son of Lloyd Beall, Captain/Lieutenant, Seventh Maryland Regiment.

Private Thomas Alexander Brooke, a son of Isaac and Sarah Magruder Brooke, was born in Maryland near the District of Columbia and served as a matross (assistant gunner of artillery) in the District of Columbia 1st Regiment of Militia under the command of Colonel George Magruder. The regiment fought in the defense of Washington at the Battle of Bladensburg in August 1814 under the overall command of General William Winder and witnessed the burning of Washington by the British. Private Brooke married Henrietta Maria Beall and they had four sons. The dedication and grave marking will take place at 11AM on Saturday, May 14th at the historic Rockville Cemetery located 1350 Baltimore Road, Rockville, Maryland 20851. The grave of Private Thomas Alexander Brooke, Sr, is located in Section F1, Lot 27.
