Zela Johnson Farmer, 76, died Thursday morning in the North Big Horn Hospital in Lovell after a lengthy illness. She was born June 6, 1908 in Lovell, Wyoming, the daughter of Seth Alvin and Metta Marie Johnson. She attended school in both Byron and Lovell. She worked as an Avon saleslady for over 35 years. She was fond of quilting and reading. She married Jess C. Farmer, October 28, 1952 in Billings, Montana. They have made their home in Deaver, Wyoming since their marriage.

Survivors include her husband, Jesse, of Deaver; four sons, Ronald Monk of Denver, Colorado, Jesse Ray Asay of Tuscon, Arizona, John "Jack" Farmer of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Wayne Farmer of Quincy, Washington; two daughters, Ilene Whaley of Conrad, Montana and Ruth Krueger of Prosser, Washington; one brother, Darr Johnson of Lovell; 29 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 19, 1984 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cowley L.D.S. Chapel with Bishop Mike Weinand officiating. Burial will be in the Lovell Cemetery.
