Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Freddie Neild Hill, 84, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2009, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Father Rothell Price and Chaplain Larry Bass. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends and loved ones, at the funeral home, on Thursday evening between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Freddie was born on December 11, 1924, in Shreveport, LA and entered into rest on Tuesday afternoon, June 23, 2009. He was a graduate of Byrd High School, University Southwest Louisiana, and was a U.S. Marine WWII Veteran. He was employed as Chief Appraiser with the Federal Housing Administration and later went into business for himself as a residential real estate appraiser. Freddie loved to hunt, fish, and be with family and friends. He will be deeply missed!

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Neild Hill and Eunice Johnson Hill; and his granddaughter, Casey Horton. Left to honor his memory are his loving wife, Shirley Warren Hill; his 2 children, Freida Hill DeJean and husband, Nick; and George Neild Hill, II; 3 step-children, Connie Brocato and husband, Tommy, Judy Horton and husband, Kerry, and Jason Logue; 4 grandchildren, Seth DeJean and wife, Alexis, Olivia DeJean, Morgan Hill, and Ian Hill; 5 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Gene McConnel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Neild and Ian Hill, Nicky and Seth DeJean, Tommy Brocato, Kerry Horton, and Jason Logue. Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Wall, Cody Horton, Ryan Slosson, Zach and Devin Logue.

The family extends their thanks to the staff of Agape Hospice and The Bradford for all of their care. Also, a very special thank you to Mattie Jackson.
