Mrs. Perkins died June 6, 2002, in Athens.
She was born April 4, 1931, in Crane to John Paul and Lila Estelle Hartwell Hickey.
Mrs. Perkins lived in Athens for 25 years. She was a member of First Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kertis Paul Perkins; and brother, Joe Thomas Hickey.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Frank C. Perkins of Athens; sons, Frank Keith Perkins of Athens and William Karl Perkins of Dallas; daughter, Kelley F. Deibel of Athens; brother, John P. Hickey Jr. of Pensacola Beach, Fla.; sister, Helen Ruth Horne of Gatesville; and grandchildren, Amanda Kody Lawson of Guthrie, Okla., John F. Deibel Jr. of Athens and Matthew Scott Perkins of Bella Vista, Ark.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Genesis Sunday School Class of First Christian Church.
