A native of Albemarle County, he was born Sept. 12, 1903, the son W: the late and Lucian C. and Ada B. Thurman Herring.
A farmer, he was a member of the Mountain Chapel Methodist Church.
Surviving are three brothers, Stuart, L. and Bernard Herring of Charlottesville and Otis Randolph Herring of Newport News, and a sister, Mrs. Hortense Hancock of Union, W.Va.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Mountain Chapel Methodist Church near Ruckersville, with burial In the Spring Hill Cemetery. The Hood-Clore Funeral Home in Quinque is in charge of the arrangements.
