Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Edwards, 48, of 104 Byers Avenue died at 7:45am Wednesday, February 28, 1968, in Our Lade oF Mercy Hospital after an illness of 30 months. She was a General Electric employee and a member of AFL-CIO Local 738.

Born at Beech Creek, Kentucky, on November 18, 1919, she had lived in Owensboro since 1948 and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, George Lee Edwards; a daughter, Mrs Gene Eatherly, and two grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Bivie Johnson; six brothers, Arley, Elgie, Bobby, Kenneth, Lelan, and Paul Johnson, and two sisters, Mrs Glodean Hester and Mrs Lois Jenkins.

Services will be held at 1:30 pm Friday at the James H. Davis Funeral Home conducted by Rev David Nelson, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
