Harold C. Inman, age 88, of Beaver City, Nebraska formerly of Stamford, Nebraska died Friday, July 10, 2009, at Harlan County Hospital at Alma, Nebraska. He was born February 22, 1921 at Beaver City, Nebraska to Benjamin & Nellie (Allender) Inman.

Harold grew up in Beaver City, Nebraska and graduated from Beaver City High School with the Class of 1938. He worked at CC Camp in Beaver City for a couple years. He enlisted in the US Army on April 14, 1942 and served until September 1, 1945. He received the Bronze Star while in the service. On April 17, 1949 he married Lena Leiding. Harold worked for First State Bank in Beaver City after their marriage. In 1954 he worked for Stamford Bank at Stamford, Nebraska until in 1972 when he started to work at Becton-Dickenson at Holdrege, Nebraska untill the mid 1980's when he retired and continued to live in Stamford, Nebraska. His wife Lena died December 8, 2000. Harold moved to Beaver City Plaza in 2007 and moved to Beaver City Assisted Living in September of 2008 where he resided at the time of his death.

He was a member of Faith Community Church at Beaver City, Nebraska, American Legion Post #233 of Stamford, Nebraska. He served on Stamford City Council for several years as well as being active with Stamford Chamber of Commerce.

He was preceded in death by parents, wife Lena, and a Brother, Rev. Tom Inman.

Survivors include 2 Sons: Douglas Inman of Omaha, Nebraska
Scott Inman of Stamford, Nebraska
Daughter: Trudy and husband Dan Bose of Oxford, Nebraska
Granddaughter: Dr. Shauna Bose

Viewing and visitation will be Saturday & Sunday, 1 PM until 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska and prior to services at the Church on Monday. Condolences or personal reflections can be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com

Funeral services will be Monday, July 13, 2009 at 1:30 PM at Faith Community Church in Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastors Dwain Fowler & Dave Hunt, officiating. Burial will follow at Mt Hope Cemetery at Beaver City, Nebraska with Military honors by American Legion Post # 233 of Stamford, Nebraska.
