She was the daughter of George Harrison & Louisa Elizabeth (Adcock) Browning. John Morgan Stewart met & courted Sarah when he went to live with his sister, Mr. Rice Maderis. They were married on Feb. 19, 1896, and moved to the Robertson farm near Orleans, Ill. in 1901, and then to the farm on Mound Road in 1911.
Mrs. Stewart was a charter member of the Mound Women's Country Club and was an active member of the First Baptist Church.
