Stroud - Mrs. Pointer (nee Stephens) formerly of this place, but now of Lanett, died at her home there Monday. We extend sympathies to the bereaved ones.

May 17, 1905:
Mrs. Oscar Pointer, who died at her home in Lanett last Monday, was buried at Mount Pisgah Tuesday. The Odd Fellows, of which her husband was a member, conducted the funeral services. Mrs. Pointer spent her girlhood days here and she was one of the sweetest purest characters it was ever our pleasure to know. To the aged mother, husband, sister and brother, our hearts go out in deepest sympathy.
