Merle was survived by her sons, Dale and wife, Ronda Carol, of Clute and Gary Paul and wife, Jane, of Lake Jackson; grandchildren, David Skeet Dunn and Kathy Walker of Oyster Creek, and Angela Osborne of Houston. She also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Leonard; an infant brother, Carl; her brother, Voscoe Acker; and her sister, Lois Jolly.
