Z. Pauleen Sinden, a retired nurse's aide, died in a Hillsboro hospital Thursday at age 79. Funeral will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Willamette National Cemetery. Visitation is at Fuiten Moruary Chapel in Hillsboro.
Mrs. Sinden was born Jan. 6, 1905, in Big Lake, Ark. She was raised in Missouri. She worked as a nurse's aide at St. Vincent and Good Samaritan hospitals. She and her late husband, John, had lived in Portland since 1937, until she recently moved to Hillsboro. Mrs. Sinden was a member of the Methodist church in St. Johns.
Survivors include a son, John Sinden of Vancouver, Wash.; daughters, Beryl Sinden of Vancouver, Wash., Lucille Maplethorne of Hillsboro and Yvonne Gooley of Woodinville, Wash.; seven grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; and one great- great- grandchild.
