Hartranft, of Brickerville, died Wednesday, September 6, of a complication of diseases, after an illness of two weeks, aged seventy-two years, ten months and twenty-two days. She is survived by her husband and the following children: Susanna, wife of Nathaniel Weit, of Stevens; William, of Ephrata boro; Lizzie, wife of Edward Weit of Brunnerville; Alice, wife of Samuel Shilling, of Lititz; Kate, wife of George Ulrich, of Robesonia, and Martin and Sallie, at home. Twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive. The funeral took place Saturday morning at 10 o'clock with services at the house and interment in St. John's Lutheran cemetery, Brickerville. Rev. Schantz of Schaefferstown officiated."
