David West Cathey, 77, of Van Buren died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, in a local hospital. He was a member of City Heights United Methodist Church, an Army veteran of the Korean War and a Navy veteran, a former litho-type operator for
Press Argus, Southwest Times Record and Yoes Printing & Lithograph Co., former employee of Missouri Pacific Railroad, a member and secretary of Alma Masonic
Lodge No. 735 and the Western Arkansas Consistory.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife, Blanche; three daughters, Linda Brasher of Dyer, Martha Gattis of Van Buren and Patty Pottridge of Cedarville; a son, David A.
Cathey of Van Buren; four sisters, Jackie Lux of Little Rock, Eva Hall of Conway, Arminta McClure of Van Buren and Freda Woller of Minnesota; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jim, Terrell and Carroll McClure, Dockey Brasher IV, Branson Cathey and Larry West.

The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
