Floyd "Punch" Blevins,83 year old retired barber and Mooreland resident died Tuesday evening in the Woodward Hospital and Health Center.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Mooreland United Methodist Church with the Rev.Randy Hodgson,pastor,officiating.Internment will be in the Mooreland Cemetery under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Victor Floyd Blevins was born on Dec.7,1902 at Haskew,Oklahoma.He attended the Haskew Grade School and the Mooreland High School.
On May 15,1923 he was married to Wildia W Wyckoff in Mooreland.He had been a barber in the Mooreland and Woodward area since graduating from high school.He was a member of the Mooreland United Methodist Church and the Mooreland Masonic Lodge No.387.
Survivors include his wife,Wildia of the home;two sons,Jackie Blevins,Ponca City and Gary Blevins,Irving,Texas;eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
