Forest Childers - Eighty-six years old, of Louisa, died yesterday afternoon in a Huntington hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the Curtright Funeral Home by the Rev. German Walters and the Rev. Arch Thompson. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery at Louisa.
A retired section foreman, Mr. Childes had been an employee of the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway for 37 years at the time of his retirement 22 years ago.
He was born May 24, 1875 at Richardson, KY, and had lived at Louisa for many years. He was a son of the late Wallace and Martellia Borders Childers and was a member of the united Baptist church.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Calista Maynard Childers, to whom he had been married 67 years; a daughter, Mrs. Homer L. Merritt of Norfolk, VA; three sons, D. C. and Bert M. Childers of Catlettsburg and O. H. (Cricket) Childers of Louisa; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Preston of Ashland; 12 grandchildren, 20 great - grandchildren and two great - great - grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 10:30 a. m. today.
