JOHANN JACOB KUNTZER OR KINSER MARRIED ESTHER ELIZABETH WAMPLER ON NOVEMBER 30, 1777 IN MONTGOMERY, WYTHE County, Virgina. IT IS BELIEVED THAT JOHN AND HIS FAMILY MOVED FROM WYTHE CO., VIRGINIA TO GREENE CO., TENNESSEE AROUND 1808 FOR THE FOLLOWING REASON.
In the Montgomery (Wythe) County, Virginia Land Tax Records for 1782, Jacob had 100 acres of land joining that of Michael Wampler. Probably IT was part of Jacob Kinser Sr.'s land located on Tates Run, a branch of Redd Creek. For several years following the formation of Wythe Co. in 1790, Jacob's land holding is given as 152 acres. 1807 is the last entry for Jacob on the Wythe Co, VIRGINIA Personal Property Tax List. In 1808 Jacob and Esther sold 327 acres of land to Barnabas Messersmith (Deed Book 5, page 96). During the same year they sold another 150 acres to Jacob Wampler ( Deed Book 5, page 105). So, this was probably the year the family moved to Greene Co, TENNESSEE. Jacob later purchased land in Greene Co, TENNESSEE. THE FAMILY SETTLED NEAR THE SINKING SPRINGS COMMUNITY OF GREENE CO., TENNESSEE.

LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF JACOB KINSER II.
In the name of God, amen, I Jacob Kinser being sick or well in imperfect health, calling to mind that it is appointed for all men once to die & of what property and possessions it has pleased God to close me with in this earth i now do will and dispose of the same in the following manner and form to wit.
First-of-all I do give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved wife, Ester all of my personal property that I poswss as long as she lives and stays a widow.
Secondly- I do give and bequeth unto my beloved son, George Kinser, 100 acres land at the lower end of my land including ???? his bldings and improvements that he now had.
Thirdly- I do give and bequeth unto my two sons, Henry and Adam, 120 acres land to same, more or less including the place whereas I now live.
Forthly- I will and ordain that all of my children shall and must be made equal heirs of my estate agreeable to the account book that i have their accounts ??? ??? down in and the price of this property that each one has receive. And do appoint Jacob Kinser, Junr., Peter Cobble, BND. Executors of my estate and I do make and ordain this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have herewith set my hand and seal this Twenty-ninth day of February, 1816, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixteen.

Above will probated 22 July 1816.
IT IS TO BE NOTED HERE THAT THIS WILL HAS NO MENTION OF JOHN W. KINSER. THIS POSES PROBLEMS FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS IN DETERMININGING IF JOHANN IS JOHN W. KINSER'S FATHER. SEE DISCUSSION BELOW ABOUT THE DNA ANALYSIS COMPLEATED IN 2008.
FOR MANY YEARS THE KINSER RESEARCH COMMUNITY HAS NOTED A LACK OF ANY PROOF OF THE PARENTAGE OF JOHN W. KINSER OF MONROE CO., TN CONSIDERED A S/O OF JOHANN JACOB. THERE HAS BEEN A BODY OF CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVIDENCE INDICATING THAT JOHANN JACOB KINSER 1756-1816 WAS HIS FATHER, BUT CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVIDENCE LACKED THAT CRITICAL CERTAINTY. IN 2007 A GROUP OF KINSER RESEARCHERS CONSISTING OF THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS, , MARILYN KINSER KINNE, DORIS KINSER FOUNTAIN, ROBERT C. KINSER, RON HUMPHREY AND GAY GREENE. DECIDED TO INVESTIGATE THE USE OF A TECHNOLOGY KNOWN AS Y CHROMOSOME DNA ANALYSIS TO DETERMINE IF THERE WAS A DIRECT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN JOHN W. KINSER AND JOHANN JACOB KINSER. THE PRINCIPLE OF THIS TECHNOLOGY IS BASED UPON THE FACT THAT GENETIC LOCI CONTAINED IN THE MALE SEX CHROMOSOME. KNOWN AS THE Y CHROMOSOME IS PASSED FROM FATHER TO SON OVER MANY GENERATIONS. THE RATIONALE IS TO FIND A LIVING, KNOWN MALE DESCENDANT FROM JOHANN AND JOHN W. AND COMPARE THEIR Y CHROMOSOME DNA LOCI. THE RESEARCH TEAM FOUND THESE INDIVIDUALS AND THEY VOLUNTEERED THEIR BIOLOGICAL SAMPLES. THE FOLLOWING IS THE CHAIN OF DESCENT FOR JOHANN JACOB 1756-1816 TO GEORGE WASHINGTON KINSER 1791-1871 TO CAPTAIN JAMES H. KINSER 1829-1892 TO THOMAS KENDRICK KINSER 1868- 1929 TO CHARLES PORTER KINSER 1897- 1973 TO RUSSELL BYRD KINSER 1920- 1992 TO LIVING KINSER. NEXT IS THE CHAIN OF DESCENT FOR JOHN W. KINSER IS JOHANN JACOB 1756- 1812 TO JOHN W. KINSER 1793- 1873 TO HENRY F. KINSER 1815-1888 TO HENRY RISE KINSER 1848-1899 TO HENRY CARROL KINSER 1872-1950 TO IRVIN FRENCH, SENIOR. KINSER 1906-1979 TO IRVIN FRENCH JUNIOR KINSER ABT 1930 TO LIVING KINSER. IN THE FIRST CASE THERE ARE 6 GENERATIONS . IN THE SECOND CASE THERE ARE 7 GENERATIONS REPRESENTED. A TWELVE MARKER DNA ANALYSIS WAS PERFORMED ON EACH OF THE LIVING KINSERS. THE REPORT FROM THE LABORATORY SHOWED THAT A PERFECT MATCH WAS FOUND BETWEEN THE TWO SUBJECTS. FROM A PROBABILITY ANALYSIS IT MEANS THAT THE TWO SUBJECTS ARE WITHIN A 95% PROBABILITY OF SHARING A COMMON ANCESTOR NO FURTHER BACK THAN 29 GENERATIONS. THUS THE 2 SUBJECTS HAVE A 99.9% LIKELIHOOD OF SHARING A COMMON ANCESTOR IN THE PERSON OF JOHANN JACOB. TAKING 25 TO 30 YEARS PER GENERATION IT WOULD MEAN THAT THIS COMMON ANCESTOR WOULD BE BORN BETWEEN 1733 AND 1798. JOHANN WAS BORN IN 1756. THIS DATE FALLS WELL WITHIN THE CALCULATED DATE OF BIRTH RANGES . OUR CONCLUSION HAS BEEN THAT JOHANN JACOB KINSER IS THE FATHER OF JOHN W. KINSER.
A NOTE ABOUT THE SINKING SPRINGS LUTHERAN CHURCH CEMETERY BEING THE FINAL RESTING PLACE FOR JOHN AND ESTHER KINSER;;
Esther died after 1816. She was still living at the time of Jacob's death (see his will) and can be found in the 1820 census. After that, she is not found in any documents.

Because the family attended Sinking Springs Lutheran Church in Greene Co., it is assumed, but not proven, that both John Jacob and Esther are buried there. The following note from Gay Greene, kinser cousin and researcher :At the time I got a copy of the cemetery records, many years ago, there was a notation that more than 200 unmarked graves were there. Actual burial records from the time Jacob and Esther lived in Greene Co. were not available. This is another one of those circumstantial evidence things. They lived near this church, attended this church, other family members are known to be buried in the cemetery.
