Stacey Lynn Strickland, 34, of Niota, died Friday evening, June 30, 2006, at Woods Memorial Hospital.

A native of Indiana, and a resident of McMinn County for 23 years, she was a member of East View Baptist Church, and attended Wesleyanna United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ernest and Betty Jones and Bruce and Eliza Haney.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Strickland of Niota; one son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Tabitha Strickland of Sweetwater; one daughter and son-in-law, Britany and Lynn Taylor of Sweetwater; one grandchild, Makinli Taylor; her parents, Philip and Lollie Haney of Athens; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Shannon and Sunny Russell of Etowah, and Bruce Haney of Athens; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Brandi and Brent Rasnake and Mickey Jo Harmon, all of Athens; one brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Debbie Strickland of Athens; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kenneth and Eva Strickland of Niota; two nephews, Will and Gage; and three nieces, Ashley, Julie and Vanessa.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Monday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Taylor and the Rev. Edward Farrell officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Tuesday and will proceed to Wesleyanna Cemetery for the 10 a.m. burial, which will conclude with the White Dove Liberation Ceremony.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Russell, Bruce Haney, Travis Strickland, Brent Rasnake, Lynn Taylor and Scott Chrisman. Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Strickland and Derek Parrott.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
