Michele Lyn Ulmer Edwards, 39, died Sunday, February 1, 2009, at her home following a house fire. Graveside services for her and her son will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2009 in Tuscola Cemetery with the Reverends Rodney Watson and Johnny Sheffield officiating, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home in Tuscola. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Today, February 5, 2009, at the funeral home.
Michele was born February 23, 1969, to Richard Allen and Joan Wanda Mitchell Ulmer at Dyess AFB in Abilene. She married Eddie Edwards on June 23, 1994, in Lawn. She was an active member of MacBrown Heritage Reenactment Group and a member of Lytle South Baptist Church. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Harvey C. Mitchell, Mary G. "Nanny" Mithell and William and Lola Ulmer.
She was survived by a son, William Milo Edwards, who died two days later.
Other survivors included her husband, Eddie Edwards of Abilene; one daughter, Amber Eve Edwards both of Abilene; her parents, Richard and Wanda Ulmer of Abilene; two sisters, Kimberly Ann Walker and husband Randy of Abilene and Nicole Faye Moody and husband Kevin of Mississippi; her mother and father-in-law, Donna and Johnny Jernigan of Tuscola; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
