Charles Parks, 71, prominent resident of Macksburg, and father of Clyde Parks, well known Caldwell businessman, died suddenly at his home, Tuesday morning at 4:00 o'clock. Death was due to a heart attack. Mr. Parks was employed with the Buckeye Pipe Line for 35 years, but had been retired for the past 11 years. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. H. A. Feldner, Robert C. Parks, Mrs. Edward Kittell, Everett Parks, Clyde Parks, and Dr. Howard Parks. James Parks and Mrs. Margaret Schwartz, are a brother and sister of the deceased. His (wife) Mary Jane Fulton Parks, (died) in April, 1950. Interment Thursday, in the Oaklawn cemetery at Woodsfield.

CALDWELL - Charles Parks, 71, well known resident of Macksburg. died suddenly at his home there, Tuesday morning at 4:30 o'clock following a heart attack. He was a son of Wesley and Nancy Parks, and was born at Marr, O. His early life was spent in the, Graysville community before he came to Caldwell 25 years ago. His first wife, Mary Jane Fulton Parks died several years ago and was buried in Oaklawn cemetery Woodsfield. Survivors are his widow: Margaret Longfellow Parks; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Feldner, of Woodsfield, and Mrs. Marjory Kittell of Phoenix, Arizona; four sons, Howard of Napoleon, O., Robert of Columbus, Everett of Macksburg. and Clyde of Caldwell; two brothers, Jacob Parks of Dexter City, James Parks of Johnstown, O., and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Swartz. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, at 1:30 o'clock from the McVay funeral home in Caldwell, where the body will remain until the hour of the service. RV. Walter H. Brown of South Olive will officiate, followed by burial in Oaklawn cemetery, Woodsfield.
