Funeral for Pearlie Freeman Pickett, 79, of Medical Park Convalescent Center will be Sunday at 3:30 PM at Brown Service Funeral Home with Oliver Thompson officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 5 to 8 PM.

Mrs. Pickett died Thursday at Decatur General Hospital. She was born July 14, 1914, in Morgan County. Mrs. Pickett was a member of Grace Baptist Church, a member of Goodyear Union Local 88 and was employed at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for thirty-seven years. Mrs. Pickett also so W. T. Raleigh Company products in the Decatur area for forty years was the widow of J. W. Freeman.

She is survived by her husband, Jessie Pickett; seven sons, Boyce Wayne Freeman, Billy Joe Freedman and Kenneth Freeman, all of Decatur, James Freeman of Springfield, Virginia, Tommy Freeman of Chattanooga, Don Freeman of Town Creek and Ricky Freeman of Cornersville, Tennessee; one daughter, Judy Shelton of Decatur; one stepdaughter, Ynez Reid of Priceville; twenty-one grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great grandchildren.
