SOUTH BEND - Sister Anne Miriam (Anne Barrett Hunt) CSC, was born in New York, NY, to the late Bert L. and Bessie Barrett Hunt. An only child, Sister was able to travel with her parents as her father's profession took them many places in Brazil. Sister's many fiends will miss her. Before entering the Sisters of the Holy Cross, Sister gained her education at a variety of school settings in Brazil and the US. She was a graduate of Dunbarton College, Washington DC. After graduation she worked as a clerk/typist in the Treasury Department of the Federal Government. After Sister entered the Novitiate, her interest in nursing became reality with her training at Mount Carmel Hospital School of Nursing, Columbus, OH. Sister then ministered, 27 years as a nurse and administrator in hospitals in Ohio, Indiana and Maryland. Sister Anne Miriam was active in the ministry of prayer until her death. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of the Holy Cross Ministry with the Poor Fund, Saint Mary's, Notre Dame, IN 46556. Reception of the Body will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 11 in Church of Our Lady of Loretto, Saint Mary's, Notre Dame. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 11 in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto, Saint Mary's Notre Dame, IN. Kaniewski Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
