She is survived by her daughter, Joe Ann Coker, of Dallas, Texas, and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Quillian W. "Red" Coker, her parents, Josephine Walker and Fred Arnold "Trip" Bishop and three brothers, Fred Walker, James Richard, Sr. and Joe Kent, Sr., Bishop.
Mrs. Coker graduated from Pascagoula High School and continued her education at the University of Southern Mississippi and at Tulane University. She worked for the American Red Cross during World War II, and then spent her career working at the Veterans Administration and at various marriage and family counseling agencies as a social worker.
Graveside service will be at noon Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, at Griffin cemetery in Moss Point, Miss.
