Herman Luther Renshaw, 96, Route 1, Crofton, died at 1am Monday at his home after a short illness..

Services will be at 2pm Wednesday at Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Christian County. Visitation will begin at 4pm today at the funeral home..

A native of Christian County, he was born Sept 8, 1889, the son of the late Albert Jackson and Mary Elizabeth McQuarry Renshaw. He was a retired farmer and a member of New Palestine Baptist Church..

Survivors include his wife, Eula Hope Gilliland Renshaw; a son, Melvin "Pete" Renshaw, Christian County; three daughters, Mrs. James (Carmen) Pyle and Mrs. Louis (Juanita) Orten, both of Christian County, and Mrs. Harry (Evelyn) Mason, Hopkinsville; a sister, Stella Hunt, Clarksville, Tenn., and five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
