C. S. AGLEY DIES AT 70; WAS BUILDER
Forestport - Charles S. Agley, 70, resident of this village, died Thursday in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton. He had been seriously ill for the past three weeks. Mr. Agley had been living with his son, Milton E. Agley, Windsor, for the past 15 months.
He was born January 18, 1890, in Forestort, son of Augustus and Lena Johnson Agley, where he spent most of his life. He was educated in Forestport schools.
On July 2, 1913, he married Flrence M. Wood in Forestport. Rev. Francis Curtis Smith, rector of Christ Episcopal Church, performed the ceremony.
Mr. Agley was a carpenter and a builder in the vicinity of Foresport and the Central Adirondacks. He served on the Election Board for several years. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.
Besides his wife and son, he leaves three daughters: Mrs. Albert Keyes, Utica; Mrs. Joseph Blair, and Mrs. Alex Kilb, both of Forestport; two grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Peach, Forestport.
The funeral will be at 9:15, Monday, from the Trainor Funeral Home, Boonville, and at 10 from Christ Episcopal Church, with Rev. Albert Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery.
Calling hours will be today and tomorrow in the Trainor Funeral Home
