Funeral services for Mrs Mary Cornella Dodson Julian, 82, widow of Dr Robert Fain Julian, were conducted last Thursday at the Presbyterian church, Cookeville, of which she was a member, by Rev Alonzo Harris of Baxter, and burial was in the family burying ground in Bloomington Springs. Mrs Julian was a native of Overton county, but had lived the greater part of her married life in Bloomington Springs, where her husband was a leading physician up to the time of his death in 1903.
Since his death Mrs Julian had spent part of the time in California, only returning to Tennessee a year ago. The families of Mrs Julian and her husband were among the first to settle in Overton and Putnam counties. Her parents were the Rev Thomas Dodson, Methodist minister, and Martha Dodson.
Mrs Julian is survived by the following children: Mrs Della Shoemake, Cookeville; W R Julian and Hattie Byers of California; Charles J Julian Sr of Livingston.
Mrs Julian will be remembered by friends here, having spent a number of years here with her son, Charles J Julian Sr, when he made his home here.
