Sylvia Mary Hopkins Larsen Anderson, 91, passed peacefully away July 7, 2009, at her home in Central Valley. She was born May 4, 1918, in Joseph, to Albert Orlando Hopkins and Edna Elizabeth Brown.

She graduated from Richfield High School. She married Gerald T. Larsen Feb. 9, 1941. He was killed in action in 1944. She married Talmage S. Anderson Nov. 4, 1949, solemnized Dec. 6, 1954, in the Manti LDS temple.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous callings. Mom loved to quilt and crochet and enjoyed spending time in her trailer at Fish Lake. Mom loved her children and grandchildren and took great pride in everything they did.

Sylvia is survived by her husband Talmage, Central Valley; children, Geraldine (Earl) Williams, Orem; Michael (Jody) Anderson, Sandy; and Kathleen (Charles) Hawley, Central Valley; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald; brother, Ivan (Lillian) Hopkins; sister, LuDean (Frank) Bromley.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 10, at 11 a.m. in the Central Valley LDS ward chapel, in Annabella. Interment will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Magleby Mortuary, Richfield
