Peter Lee Beets, Stanton Township, died Sunday April 22, 1923. Born on January 11th, 1851 in Cass County, Missouri, he came to this county in 1854. He is survived by four sons, Jess, William, Clyde and Claude, all living in Stanton Township, also two brothers, H. P. Beets, Marysville Township, and W. A. Patton, Pineville, Mo., and two sisters, Mrs. W. E. Lynn of Lawrence and Elisa, widow of the late Aaron Harbison, Miami County. Burial was in Pleasant Valley cemetery, near Pressonville store, this county, on Tuesday, April 24th.
