Daughter of Henry & Mary (Smith) Sowell.

Spent her childhood in Texas and Oklahoma; was an artist who added color to professional black and white negatives to produce colored photographs.

Married Ervin Brown. He preceded her in death.
Married Don Dimmick. He preceded her in death.
Married James Osborne. He died Sept. 30, 2004.
Was married and widowed three times; with her third husband, lived in Bentonville, Ark., Chico, Calif., and finally in Kearney, NE.
Was proficient with the accordion; enjoyed traveling to and participating in country and gospel singing meets and contests; was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her nieces, LaVonna Isles of Bentonville, Ark., Evelyn Hill of Oklahoma and Corine Renteria of California; nephews, Bill Duncan of California and Jerry Osborne of Long Valley, N.J.; numerous grandnieces and grandnephews; and stepdaughters, Beverly Pickens of Kearney and Lou Ann Colvin of Marshall, Minn.

Was preceded in death by her husbands; parents; sisters, Cogie Palmer and Naoma Duncan; and brother, J.C. Sowell.
