Forrest Brown Dies at Age 82
Brother of Rev. Delbert Brown of Pennville, Forrest E. Brown, 82, of Decatur
died at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday in the Decatur Community Care Center, where
he had resided the past seven months.
A member of the First United Methodist Church in Decatur and a 50-year
member of the Masonic Lodge at Decatur, Mr. Brown was born May 29, 1897
in Hope to Estel & Alto Jordon Brown. His marriage to Gainess Baker, who
survives, took place Feb. 14, 1920.
In addition to the wife and brother at Pennville, he is survived by two
daughters, Mrs. Paul (Doneta) Barkheimer of Columbus and Mrs. James
(Norma) Markley of Fort Wayne; another brother, Donald Brown of Amboy, a
sister, Mrs. Pearl Anderson of Greensburg, four grandchildren and one great-
grandchild.
Calling will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Winteregg-Linn and Haggard
Funeral Home in Decatur. Services there at 2 p.m. Saturday will be in charge
of Rev. Phillip Hillsemer and burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
