Death of J. B. Curtis at Home in Colony; Jonathan Bird Curtis, Colony rancher, passed away at his home Monday,
following an illness from pneumonia. He was 75 years of age at the time of his death and has been a Colony resident for
the past seven years, residing in the Crows Landing section previous to that time. He was a native of North Carolina and
leaves a wife and a large family, including Mrs. W. A. Fowler and John Curtis of Patterson. Funeral services were held
from the Methodist church yesterday afternoon Rev. C. W. Roberts officiating. Interment was in the family plot at the
Newman cemetery, where a son was already buried. Arrangements were in charge of Davis & Evans
