Zelda Hankins, 64

Zelda Hanklns, 64, of 4093 W. 415 S., Rushvllle, died at 7:20 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, 1995 in Community East Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born Feb. 26, 1931 in Connersvllle, she was the daughter of Otto G. and Estella Clark Mason. She married Russell D. Hankins Aug. 24, 1960 and he survives. She was a 1949 graduate of Connersville High School. She had lived in Rushvllle since 1959. She retired in 1985 from the Schnadig Corporation where she had worked as an inspector for more than 25 years.

Surviving besides her husband are four sons: Gary D. Mock of Sarasota, Fla., Curtis W. Mock, Rodney Hankins of Rushville and 2nd Lt. Robert Mathews; one stepson: Sammy Hankins of Connersville; one stepdaughter: Peggy (Mrs. Gary) Seward of Bentonville; one sister: Dorothy Thomas of Paragon; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushvllle with the Rev. Kenneth Bates officiating. Burial is at Dale Cemetery in Connersville. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
