HARPER, GEORGE A., 68, of West Trenton, N.J., died Friday, March 12, 1999 at St. Mary's Hospital in Langhorne, PA. Born in Zebulon, N.C., he was raised in Avon Park, FL. and Morristown, TN., formerly he was a Yardley, PA., resident for 25 years moving to West Trenton three years ago and a winter resident of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Mr. Harper was a retired florist and owner of Eppolito Florist in Trenton, N.J., for thirty years. His prior employment was as District Manager at Sears in Trenton. A member of FTD he served as Chairman of the New Jersey FTD and a member and former chairman of New Jersey Jaycees. He is survived by a son, Derrick R. Harper of Yardley, PA.; two daughters, and sons-in-law, Stacey Lee Pankotai of Yardley, PA., and Lauren B. and Wesley Lott of Greeneville, TN.; a sister, Margaret Duerr of Louisville, KY.; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Pankotai and Ethan Lott; his former wife, Arlene S. Beckman of Greeneville; and a special friend, Trudy Ringwald of Titusville, N.J. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17, S. Delaware Avenue (River Road), Yardley. the Rev. Jon Swenson, pastor of the Cornwells United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Trenton, N.J. Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 7 p.m, to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. FitzGerald Somner Funeral Home in charge.
