WINSTED — Joseph F. Tracy, 85, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2009. He was the loving husband of Alberta (Eldridge) Tracy for 51 years. Born June 19, 1924 in Hartford; the son of the late Joseph and Catherine (McDonald) Tracy.
Joseph was a very talented jazz musician playing the drums most of his life. He also loved horse racing.
In addition to his devoted wife, he is survived by his son, Bruce Tracy of Winsted; his sister, Lorraine Tracy of Glastonbury; his grandchildren, Donald Willette, Dana Willette, Jr., John Willette, Peter Willette, Laura Keneston and Andrea Colon; and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Dana Willette, who passed away on July 1, 2009 and his brother, Henry Tracy.
Funeral services will be held for both Joseph and Dana on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted at 11 a.m. Burial will be private and held at Forest View Cemetery, Winsted. Friends may call on Saturday, July 11, at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, Winsted from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Foothills Visiting Nurse and Companions Homemakers, 32 Union Street, Winsted, CT 06098.
