Sarah Johnston was born in Ireland on 13 Apr 1841, the daughter of Richard Johnston & Jane Davidson. She arrived in Canada in 1854 at age 16.
She married Robert Coad 13 Feb 1862 in Kitley, Leeds & Grenville, ON.
They had 9 children:

Mary Coad 1866 - 1941
Elsie Coad ???? - 1870
George Sherman Coad 1872 - 1932
Effie Coad 1873 - 1920
