EXPECT DEATH MOMENTARILY

(Special to the News) Decatur , Ind. , July 13 -- Mrs. William Breiner, aged 70, living east of the city, is very low and her children have been summoned to her bedside. The children are John Breiner of Pittsburgh , Martin Breiner of California , Mat and Frank Breiner, Mrs. Simon Moore, Mrs. Will Liby and Mrs. Ola Gaunt of this county.

Aged Decatur Woman Expires - Mary Ann Breiner, 85, Victim of Paralytic Stroke Today

Mrs. Mary Ann Breiner, 85, beloved Adams county woman and wife of the aged William Breiner, died at her home on the Bellmont road, at 9 o'clock this morning. Death was due to paralysis and a dropsical ailment which the deceased suffered for some time. A week ago she suffered a paralytic stroke and since that time had been bedfast.

Mrs. Breiner spent 83 years of her life in Adams county, moving here with her parents at the age of two years. She and her husband were one of the oldest married couples in Adams county, having been married for 65 years. On July 15, 1925 they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a festive day.

A month ago the children and friends of Mrs. Breiner celebrated her 85th birthday anniversary. She was born in Clark County , Ohio , September 28, 1845, the daughter of John and Barbara Ellen Calvin-Hower, both deceased.

She was married to William Breiner, July 15, 1865. Surviving is the husband, and the following children: John W. Breiner of Pittsburgh, PA.; B. Frank Breiner of this city; Martin C. Breiner of Fellows, California; Joseph M. Breiner of this city; Mrs. Amanda Liby of this city; Mrs. Sadie Moore of Blountsville, and Mrs. Goldie Gaunt of this city. Eleven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren also survive.

The following brothers and sisters survive the deceased: Mrs. Amanda Suttles of Conneaut , Ohio ; Mrs. Catherine Oaks of Ladelles , Oregon ; Joseph Hower of this city; James Hower of Craigville, and Dayton Hower of Bluffton.

The deceased was a devoted member of the Zion Reformed church of this city for many years.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the residence, near this city, and at 1:30 o'clock at the Zion Reformed church with Rev. A. R. Fledderjohann, pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in the Decatur cemetery.
