Mrs. Oscar Drossel, 77, of 781 Pine St., Sheboygan Falls, died Monday at St. Nicholas Hospital following a lengthy illness.
The former Barbara Billmann was born in Germany on Sept. 6, 1891, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Marie Billmann. She came to Sheboygan with her family as an infant.
She married Oscar Drossel of Sheboygan Falls on April 23, 1912. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary 1962.
Mrs. Drossel was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sheboygan Falls, and the Christian Mothers Society of the parish.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Elmer and Donald, both of Sheboygan Falls; two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Evelyn) Messner and Mrs. Sam (Helen) Murphy, both of Sheboygan Falls; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Christ, John, Louis and Henry Billmann, all of Sheboygan Falls. Three brothers also preceded in death.
A requiem Mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Church, with Rev. Harold Herbst, pastor, celebrant. Brief family rites at Huehes Funeral Home, Sheboygan Falls, will precede the Mass at 10. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday. A parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
