Stroke of Apoplexy Proves Fatal – Popular Veteran of Civil War- Funeral Tomorrow
Eli Perry, a resident of this city for the past 16 years, died yesterday noon after a stroke of apoplexy at his home, No. 328 Brindley street. Mr. Perry was 64 years old and a veteran of the Civil war. He never regained consciousness after the attack.
Mr. Perry was well known in this city and leaves a widow and family. The G.A.R. will take charge of the funeral, which will be held from the residence at 2 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be made in the soldier's plot in the City cemetery.
