John H. Bough, 79, of Vian, Okla., and formerly of Pittsburg, died Sunday, Jan 27, 1995 at the VA Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark., following a lengthy illness. He was born Sept. 9, 1915 at Stockton, Mo., to Thomas J. and Bertha Ainley Bough. Mr. Bough was a veteran of World War II, having served in the South Pacific. He is survived by his wife Kate of the home; two sons, Sammy W. Bough of Chicopee and John W. Bough of Pittsburg; one daughter, Delores F. Maxton of Scammon; two brothers, Charlie E. Bough of Wichita and Sammie D. Bough of Pittsburg; six stepsons; three stepdaughters; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters, an infant daughter, a granddaughter and a great-grandson. Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 1995 under the direction of the Wheeler Funeral Home of Sallisaw, Okla. Burial was in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
